A shocking, provocative, morbidly funny and often brilliant film.
If there was a theme that dominated global film this year it was the corruption of police and/or police brutality often involving minorities.

Parallel Planes is a fascinating, exciting, and informative documentary that will be playing as part of the Chicago Underground Film Festival.

2017 was chock filled with films that had great contributions from female, minority, queer (does anyone still use that word?) and Trans people than ever.
It was an outstanding year for Indy films and international cinema, but most of the big budget Hollywood movies and franchise films lacked the spark of genius.
